The Fairfax Mentoring Partnership was created for a single purpose:
to help young people realize their potential.

Young people today face unprecedented challenges and caring adults
must step forward to create unprecedented solutions.

The Fairfax Mentoring Partnership is one such solution, an entity that
pulls together disparate sectors of our community to advance a
common theme -- that communities grow stronger by investing their
resources on the future, on their youth.

To meet this challenge, the Fairfax Mentoring Partnership:

1. has created a prestigious "Mentoring Advisory Council" composed
   of leaders from every sector of the Fairfax County community
   (corporate, government, schools, faith, community, non-profit);

2. is building the FMP's "Provider Council," a forum for providers to
   support one another in their quest to strengthen and expand
   quality mentoring programs; and

3. organizes monthly mentor trainings and conferences to strengthen
   the bonds between mentors and mentees.
